W3W allows you to create roles that are not only available in the W3W brand portal but also in other supported apps (currently support Discord, other apps coming soon). Once the role is created, W3W will be able to keep your community members' roles up-to-date and help you further provide role-based services or access to eligible customers. Less trouble with manual distinction and setting.
Community roles are used to establish memberships and corresponding benefits for your community members. An example can be - A project owner might create and assign a "Platinum Member" role to certain members, which grants them the unique benefits of unlocking a VIP channel in the Discord server or accessing to a special airdrop.
W3W provides a centralized place for you to manage your community identities across apps (future extensions: Shopify plugin, other Web3 applications, etc.).
Brand owners manage and add roles on W3W, and can synchronize these roles to Discord.
Step 1: Click the "Connect to Discord" button to connect and authorize your Discord account.
Step 2: When authorized, click the "Add New Server" button to provide our W3W bot admin access and add your Discord server to W3W.
When successfully connected, you will see your Discord server as shown in the picture below.
Step 3: Create and manage roles in W3W and decide if you want to apply to Discord.
W3W allows you to set up who is eligible to get the role based on on/off chain assets and behavior-based analysis.
Step 4: W3W will set up a channel with an auto-message that has a link to the verification page.
Once your Discord server is connected, all of your existing or new roles can be supported in the majority of places within W3W:
Role can be used as eligibility checks for your campaigns, and only Discord members with required roles can join the campaigns
Role holders will be shown in the 'Community' dashboard for you to manage easily
You can initiate any further outreach emails or airdrops toward specific role holders
